This is a great way to get up to dat information on the city along with some detail of earthquakes and the damage
Thoroughly enjoyed our trip on the double decker, brought back fond memories of life in the UK. The guides were nice and knowledgeable. We were disappointed the double decker was not available for the second part of our day travelling to Sumner. Over all a good experience.
Really enjoyed the trip being a local person lots of information very interesting view of the rebuild. Advise going to the top level of the bus for better photos and views. Great experience for both locals and visitors ?
Truly a amazing experience, the driver was very professional and knowledgeable, it certainly gave us a better prospective of the damage the earthquake caused to this beautiful city.we would certainly recommend this tour to everybody.
Fabulous tour and excellent driver and informative tour quide (Ross). I live in christchurch and took niece (11) who was staying with me from nelson. We both thought it great fun. Having people coming from Australia and this will definate be on list of things to do.
We had a lovely look around Christchurch with a couple of our Grandchildren from the open topped double decker bus. The commentary was excellent and informative, and the littlies thoroughly enjoyed it.
It's been several year's since I did this trip..Well worth it..I personally find it best to stay on for the hour tour..then hop on and off second time around..then get picked back up hour or two later.if getting off at Ricarton Shopping Mall..also easy to get off at Cathedral Square and walk down to regent street shops..if you have time the New Library is well worth a look..I spent a few hours in there last year with son..very big and very interesting and interactive..also has cafe and wc facilities. .enjoy. .M
It was very informative,we enjoyed it,But was very uncomfortable ride,Probably you cannot help it as its an old bus.
Nice way to tour around, been to the city and Red Zone in a day. Worth the time and money.
Lovely time
We had a great tour guide! Would highly recommend!
Had a group of 7 aged from 16 to 89 and everyone enjoyed the day. Commentary was great and changed around to suit as we went around twice. Thanks to our driver Kris for an awesome day
Lee our bus driver entertained us on a cold and drizzly drive with humour and history. The right balance of talking and quiet contemplation looking out the windows as the clouds broke. A couple of stops on the way appreciated. Wasn’t quite sure where to meet bus at Chch museum due to building works - might pay to say it’s across the road from the museum at the designated bus stop when booking confirmed. All in all a very comfortable, leisurely and informative way to travel to a picturesque harbour town.
Fantastic way to see the city and surrounding areas. Well worth the time to take a look around and hear what’s happening and see progress.
It was enjoyable 2 hr bus from Christchurch to Akaroa, and the driver gave us some lessons about the city which is really helpful. The best highlight of the bus route is the lookout and the small river town stops. I am sure that you will have enjoyable trip in Akaroa after this.
I enjoyed this tour very much. It was informative and relaxed.
A big day full of interesting information about the host of New Zealand as well as Rohan and Edoras for Lord of the Rings fans. Travelled to the beautiful Mt Potts and Mt Sunday. Guides were fun and informative. Picnic lunch was provided following a short walk to the top of Mt Sunday which included photo opportunities with replicas from the movies. Didn’t matter that it was overcast.
Micheal our guide was very informative with everything, about Christchurch, the area that we were travelling through, and of course Lord of the Rings. He did a fine job, particularly as he was battling the wind rather than the orcs. The weather, although a bit windy stayed bright so we could get the vistas and imagine Helm's Deep was only across the valley. We were even given props to re-enact the various characters from the film. All in all a great tour, which we thought was worth it with the discount by bookme.com, without, a bit pricey for a couple of stops and basic lunch, although nice. Micheal was great, he looked after his group, a good guide to guide you.
I never watched Lord of the ring! I just loved to see the marvellous scenic views of the nature. I really loved the part when we climbed to the top of the hills. It gave me a sense of touching the nature. Unexpectedly it caught my breath when I saw the massive mountains though it was a bit gloomy. The view must be much more fantastic when it is sunny and in the winter! A bonus of the whole journey is owing to the perfect driver plus tour guide called Steve. He is so friendly and informative. He gave us the great commentary all along the journey! I felt so lucky to be guided by him! Thumbs up!
We really enjoyed our tour. The bus/truck was comfortable. Our guide, Matthew, was fantastic. He told us lots of interesting information. He was very kind and accommodating. The scenery was breathtaking.
The driver are very nice and attentive.
The bus ride was great and was on time. The diver was kind and knowledgeable. We had the perfect day in hanmer springs!
Nice driver and comfortable bus fits for a long trip. Cheap fare as compare to $35 to other bus/shuttle
Great experience and a very interactive punter.
Out tour guide was absolutely fantastic! Thank you for making it so interesting and fun!
Awesome-It’s a must do if visiting Chrisrchurch fully loved the experience and the “punter guy” done a awesome job considering he was quite new at his job so 10/10 to him for making our experience well worth it also definitely buy the photo as well that they take of you????
Very good food 🍲. 👍 Nice and lovely staff. Relaxing atmosphere. That's all we usually need for a dinner to be called a perfect one. Can definitely recommend this restaurant for visiting. 👌
We had the most incredible dinner and dessert at the Thirsty Peacock. Loved the entire experience, excellent service and waiter! Highly recommend and would visit again 😍
Fantastic, friendly service.. Food was delicious. Highly recommend.
Food was stunning, every entree and main was beautiful, apple crumble tart was incredible too! Chocolate cake wouldn't be on my list again. Service, amazing and the atmosphere was nice and relaxing. Took the kids for 11th bday meal but probably wouldnt take kids again - not particularly geared towards children which is understandable.
Went up the skifield yesterday. Amazing weather! Can’t wait for next season again
