Hop on Hop Off Auckland Tours
Another option for seeing Auckland in one day is a hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus tour. Auckland Explorer Bus is the city's original hop on hop off bus tour. It's an easy and fun way to see Auckland's highlights, with full commentary. There are two tour routes, one covering the central city and waterfront with attractions like the Auckland Museum, Kelly Tarlton's, Queen Street, the Sky Tower and Parnell, and during the summer there is another route taking in more attractions out of the city including Mt Eden, the Auckland Zoo and MOTAT, the Museum of Transport and Technology.
Your 24-hour pass gives you access to both tour routes (during summer). Hop on and off wherever you like along the way! If you need more time, choose the 48-hour pass option. You can also upgrade to a combo pass that includes entrance to some of the attractions, for even more savings.
