Experience the wonders of the Geothermal landscape on a self-guided walk!
We have a very fun experience. The walk itself was easy to do on our own. The views were pretty good and we enjoyed it very much. The place feels very welcoming and accommodating.
Great experience and very enjoyable self-guided walk with lots of geothermal pools and geysers and lookouts. Very well priced and easy to walk and traverse. The numbered signs seem to be incorrect at some spots so I may suggest playing a fun game of ‘guess the spot’.
Not as amazing as the waiotapu thermal wonderland, was nice to see but would not go again, instead would would go 100 times to waiotapu again!

Well worth a visit.
Interesting, leisurely paced walk full of history and fascinating geothermic contents. Every turn greeted us with a different sight, historic fact or a wow moment. The walk to the top of the hill was beautiful to see the lake below and I would definitely return again if holidaying in NZ.
