Whitsundays Day Sail, Snorkel and Dive - Illusions 2

Illusions has been operating in the Whitsundays for over 20 years. Illusions has been owned and operated by Josef since 2004 doing the same trip for all that time, to Blue Pearl Bay on Hayman Island and Langford Reef. This gives you the best experienced crew to help you get the most from your day.

A day aboard Illusions 2 features:

Small number of passengers, maximum 20, so room for all to sit

Relaxed areas for lying down and sunbathing. 45% of the vessel is covered to give you protection and shelter from wind, rain and sun

We can guarantee 100% that you will spend more time snorkelling than any other day vessel in the Whitsundays

We are not a racing vessel, or claim to be the fastest boat, but we can say we are the most relaxing. Being a stable catamaran you can even make a cup of tea while we are under sail.

We give you the choice of great snorkelling and the opportunity to have a go at a beginners dive. But if you are a certified diver we will give you a memorable dive in the Whitsunday.

We conduct these dives with an emphasis on 100% safety, conducted by us, not contracted

out as some boats do.

Both of the crew are qualified skippers and two of the most experienced dive instructors in the area, with a combined total of 10,000 dives between them.

We are not a fishing boat but from time to time we do drop in a line and have caught some decent size fish at times.

Things to note:

Meeting time: 7am north end of Coral Sea Marina (meeting point B)

Depart: 7.30am approx.

Sailing to one of the best snorkelling and dive spots in the world, Blue Pearl Bay on Hayman Island and then snorkel with turtles at Langford Island

Return: 3.30 to 4.00pm

What’s included:

Full snorkel gear (mask, snorkel, fins, noodles and life jackets if required)

Diving equipment is supplied

Complimentary morning/afternoon tea and lunch

Free tap water is available

Please note that we have limited spaces for diving. We operate on a first in, first served basis. Please identify when booking in the special requests if you are wanting to dive, and if you are a certified or intro diver. We will do our best to accomodate your request.

Please note - A medical certificate may be required for certain medical conditions, certain ages, or if your BMI is over 30.

What to bring:

Sunscreen (preferable reefsafe), hat and towel, wind breaker/jacket (highly recommended but we do have some available on the vessel), water bottle, cash or credit card for extras (eftpos available on board)

Departure: 7.30 am at the latest from Coral Sea Marina. You must meet at the north end of Coral Sea Marina (meeting point B) at 7am if you have not arranged a pick up.

Please do not bring bananas on the boat…..they are bad luck!
