Good experience on Spank me; fun, joking crew, lots and lots of good food, if you're lucky you get the cool double bed with the roof window (night under the stars). They took us to hill inlet for a few hours where we could do as we please (either beach or lookout) with a little bit of tip on where we should go first and a bit of explanation about the beach; good snorkeling, they take you to the best spots depending on weather (we saw turtles and great coral reefs at blue pearl); they talk about marine life and security; the great barrier reef, etc. Could get a bit humid and hot at night.
Sounds like you had a blast out there Jeremie, thanks for taking the time to review us , and all the best for the rest of your travels. Ozsail Crew
If you don’t want to ruin your holiday it’s better if you stay away. Absolutely unpleasant guy called Alex that ruins the whole atmosphere. The management did nothing with my complaint. Highly unprofessional. I wouldn’t recommend this boat at all.
On the first hand the cruise enabled us to discover the whitsundays and its magnificent and breathtaking landscapes in perfect conditions, we were the first on the spots and could enjoy snorkelling in perfect and safe conditions. Wetsuits were of high quality, snorkels and masks could have been better but not a problem for these 3 snorkelling spots. On the other hand, I have never seen such poor sleeping conditions on a boat (and I have sailed a lot). What could be acceptable for a sailing race is definitely not when it comes to a cruise with friends or your partner. The pairs had indeed their intimacy, but at which costs, on the trimaran we were located in the storage in the float. That is to say a 80cm height cabin in which someone taller than 1,80m (and it exists even in Australia) could not lie properly. It is definitely a good test if you want to challenge your claustrophobia, not if you want to enjoy a cruise. I also have to mention the lack of food for the lunch and the breakfast, they could have imagined that 2 packs of bread would not be sufficient for 26 people. Finally the team in itself, some of them were sometimes unnecessarily scornful, I still wonder why he criticised the English skills of a German girl who obviously did not ask for it. They gave explanations, for one of them with a pleasant enthusiasm, but for others it just appeared to bore them like never. Unfortunately it was their first role. As far as sailing is concerned, if you are really looking forward to it as I was, keep in mind that you will barely sail 3 hours in the whole trip. It is true it is more complicated and takes more time than a motorboat but this is also what I expected
