Learning to surf at the beautiful Tauranga Bay on the wild West Coast of the South Island is a memory you will cherish forever!
Mark the owner of West Coast Surf is a long time and very passionate coach, he loves to see his students succeed and to share his wealth of knowledge with you.
A learn to surf session with West Coast Surf includes the surfboard and wetsuit hire and 2 hours of coaching. It will set you up for some further learning on your travels and help you to develop great technique and skills.
All you need to bring along is a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, warm clothes for afterward and a big smile. Encourage your family and friends to join you for this fun and invigorating activity in nature at its best!

first try surfing
第一次的冲浪体验就献给westport了！ 很多人推荐这里是初学者的天堂，体验之后发现它真的是！ 从一开始看着层层海浪有点恐惧，一直练习到后面是往大浪冲去！ 教练人很风趣幽默，教学方式也很棒！ 初体验的目标就是要成功站在浪板上，站上的那一刻心情真的是太爽了～～ 推荐推荐👍

Amazing!
Mark is great! Jose and I had our second surf lesson with Mark and we found it was not only super good fun, but he boosted our confidence surfing and helped us develop a better technique. Thanks!! Would definitely recommend to anyone no matter their level!

Excellent Surfing lesson
Mark is an excellent teacher I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him. He had a group of 6 aged from a young teenager to me at 62 years old, all of us first time surfers except the youngest. Mark was able to keep everyone engaged and we all had a great time in the surf under Marks watchful eye. If you're looking for a great surf school look no further, this one is fantastic.

Experienced surf coach
Marc was amazing! It was just me, my friend and Marc and we've been taught surfing before, but he was more forthcoming and explained it better than others! He was patient with us and took a wee break in between with us to show us what to do better cause he's been attentive and afterwards it worked out even better. Thank you so much, it was an amazing experience!
