Glacier Country Helicopters is a local family, owned and operated company. Husband and wife duo Poppy and Gus Gordon who are both commercial pilots started the company in 2014. You’ll find them at the hangar or flying one our helicopters most days.

Our friendly team are certified Qualmark Gold, have received the Traveller’s Choice Award several years and look forward to showing you the glaciers, rainforests and mountains that form our incredible back yard.

Bad Weather Refunds

  • If your experience is cancelled by the operator (because of the bad weather, safety concerns, unscheduled maintenance etc) you will be entitled to a full refund.

Notes

  • Please Note:All passengers and any gear will be weighed at check in. If you are 100kg or over, you will be required to book a comfort seat (the cost is half the RRP of your flight).

    Do you have limited mobility e.g. injury, arthritis, or recent surgery? There are two high ladder style steps into the helicopter. This information could affect what helicopter you fly you in.Please let us know as you proceed through checkout.

    Flights require a minimum of 4 pax to depart. Solo travellers & smaller bookings are welcomed, and we will aim to pair you up with another booking.

    Cancellation policy:All bookings are non-transferable, and cancellations must be made 24hours in advance or 100% cancellation fee will apply.

Exceptional

This was really an amazing experience, the whole deal, the flight, the view, the snow landing. We have been lucky to have had some incredible nature experiences all over the world and this was up there with the best of them. The reception team and our pilot Gus were relaxed and friendly, but thoroughly professional. Only warning is to do this at the end of your holiday otherwise everything else you do after may seem a bit average!
