A great time exploring the hutt river

Kristy Harris said... Had an awesome time doing the grade 2 water rafting with wellington rafting. I took my dad as a surprise for his 60th. It was fun exploring the hutt river, and navigating our own boat added to the challenge. The group we had was lovely, and the guide was really friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely a perfect spring/summer activity as there are more rapids when the river is low, and rock jumping was fun without the water being too cold. I would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys the outdoors - it's a great experience and a good entry to rafting in general. I've also done the grade 5 in Taupo - that was EPIC but maybe not everyone's cup of tea and you're in a team boat rather than your own. This would suit most people :) Next time I'd opt for the longer one - but only because it was heaps of fun and I wanted to keep going! Thanks heaps
