jennir said... David or Dave, who runs the business, drives the van, and gives the tour, grew up in Launceston and shares his local knowledge of the area. As a farmer, he’s knowledgeable about the local industry and explained about opium poppies, fishing, etc. We learned about myrtle trees and how they steal nutrients from nearby fern plants!! Great walk in the rain forest! Bay of Fires is gorgeous. Lavender farm is lovely. As a vegetarian, I wasn’t sure how the oyster farm visit would go, but Dave had an alternative with local blueberries (very delicious!) and appreciated it very much!
