After your Hotel pick up and drive down the Channel Highway to Kettering enjoy the ferry ride to Bruny Island with excellent opportunities to see seals and penguins feeding in the D’Entrecasteaux Channel. Admire natural sights like the Mount Mangana rainforest in search of White Wallaby in the wild and Adventure Bay’s beautiful beaches. Be guided through The Neck Wildlife Reserve and onwards to the Cape Bruny Lighthouse Station and join Australia’s southernmost Lighthouse Tour, enjoy an exclusive group tour of the Lighthouse which is included in the price of your day tour to Bruny Island. With some of the most dramatic views in Tasmania, from the top of the 184 year old tower.
This tour is a foodie’s fantasy come true, get to know the island’s food scene with tastings of cheese, chocolate, and honey, plus a lunch of local produce. For morning tea, enjoy Bruny Island Cheeses & Oysters picnic style, with fresh breads on one of the islands pristine white beaches. You will also have the option to visit the cheese makers and oyster farm outlet on the return journey later in the day. You can store any of your purchased food items in the ice boxes that the tour vehicles are equipped with.
Along the way, you will stop at many of the Bruny Island food producers, lookouts and sweeping beaches with ample time for short walks or a paddle in the cool ocean waters of the Tasman Sea. For lunch, choose from an extensive menu of local Tasmanian produce such as locally caught fresh fish, succulent local lamb, salmon, seafood chowder or the popular seafood platter for two (gluten free and vegetarian options available). Enjoy this collaboration of fine food produced by Hotel Bruny & The Bruny Island Producers, overlooking Sunset Beach.
Complete your indulgent day with your return ferry crossing to Kettering before returning to Hobart, with ample time to relax before heading out to dinner with your new found friends from the days touring.

Thank you for coming on tour with us Lisa, we are glad you enjoyed the food and scenery. We do cover a significant area of Bruny Island during the day and to allow our guests to see the extensive sights, there is a lot of ground covered. Unfortunately on the day of your tour, The Neck Lookout was closed due to extensive renovations and you would not have been able to walk up the hundreds of steps to see the view. It is open again now and we find that our guests do enjoy the exercise! Thanks again for coming on tour with us. Team Bruny Island Safaris

I’d do it again
Absolutely fabulous day trip. Our guide and driver was informative and funny. He made the day enjoyable and included all the group in activities. My favourite part was morning tea. The oysters were to die for. The only thing I would say is that I would have had more time as the wine and cheese tasting.

Good comprehensive Tour
Morning Tea was fantastic we had Oysters and $100 kg cheese. Seafood lunch was top notch. Lighthouse Tour was excellent. Good comprehensive Tour of the Island. I enjoyed my swim on Tour. Long day Trip comprehensive with much to do. I brought some bush honey tasted great bit. Overall I recommend.

Fantastisches Essen, wenig Bewegung
Das Essen auf dieser Tour war hervorragend, man konnte das Mittagessen aus einer Karte wählen. Allerdings hat mir ein wenig die Bewegung gefehlt, der einzige Walk war der zum Leuchtturm, ansonsten saß man nur im Bus und wurde durch die Gegend kutschiert. Für diejenigen, die gutes tasmanisches Essen probieren und einkaufen möchten, ist diese Tour sehr empfehlenswert!
