I recently had the pleasure of joining a tour of Bruny Island in Tasmania, and I must say, despite the less-than-ideal weather, it was a fantastic experience! The island’s natural beauty is truly breathtaking, with its rugged coastlines, lush forests, and stunning beaches. The tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, providing fascinating insights into the island’s history, wildlife, and environment. One of the highlights was visiting The Neck, where we got to witness the sweeping views from the lookout. Even with the cloudy skies and occasional rain, the scenery was still stunning. We also had the opportunity to sample some of Bruny’s famous local produce. From cheese to oysters and chocolate, the island’s food offerings are a delight for the tastebuds. While the weather wasn’t the best, with intermittent showers and strong winds, it didn’t dampen the overall experience. If anything, the dramatic skies added a certain charm to the island's rugged landscapes. It’s a testament to how beautiful Bruny Island is that even in less-than-perfect conditions, the tour remained a highlight of my trip. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Tasmania—just be sure to check the forecast and bring appropriate clothing in case the weather decides to be unpredictable!
Thank you very much for your detailed review and wonderful feedback. We are thrilled to hear our tour was a highlight of your time in Tasmania, Bruny Island is such a stunning destination and one we love sharing with guests - in any weather! We hope to see you again in the future to explore another region of Southern Tasmania with us, thank you again for your review. -Jess Symonds, Bruny Island Safaris

I’d do it again
Absolutely fabulous day trip. Our guide and driver was informative and funny. He made the day enjoyable and included all the group in activities. My favourite part was morning tea. The oysters were to die for. The only thing I would say is that I would have had more time as the wine and cheese tasting.
