Experience adrenaline pumping grade 5 white water action on the exciting and beautiful Kaituna River.
Boasting the highest commercially rafted waterfall in the southern hemisphere, with a thundering 7 meter drop, the Kaituna is a must do adventure activity in New Zealand.
Apart from the "Big Waterfall" this Kaituna Rafting expedition offers 14 rapids in 45 minutes as you negotiate your way through the spectacular lush tree lined gorges, steeped in Maori history.
The Kaituna is rated grade 5 because of the waterfall however it is still completely suitable for first time rafters who are comfortable in the water.
Hi Nicole, Im glad you and Wolfgang had a good time , next time come and do the Wairoa river you dad will love that one too
The rafting was just perfect. When we arrived we got a short introduction which was super easy to understand and not working because of the fun team. The rafting itself took around an hour and was super adventorous, fun and exciting. I would definitely recommend doing it with wet n' wild as the team is super knowledgable and fun and you will have a great time :)!
thanks so much for the super awesome review!
The trip is 1.5km but it lasts about 40 minutes. Plenty of time to admire the beautiful scenario of the Kaituna river, a wonderful gorge covered in lush vegetation. Rapids are of the “drop, pool, drop” kind... including the 7m waterfall... Crew was professional and fun. Would definitely recommend it!
ThankasMarco!
