Jenny Somlyay said... I have done whale watching elsewhere in big boats full of people, and enjoyed them, even if it often meant trying to see past others. This tour was different, and, even if we had not seen any whales, I would have thoroughly enjoyed the exciting ride out in Laguna Bay looking back at the coastline of Noosa, the North Shore and National Park, with the Glasshouse Mountains, Mt Cooroy and Mt Coolum in the background. The open boat only has about 12 or 15 seats, but is powerful and safe. The Noosa Bar can be tricky, but the skipper knew what he was doing. Without any hooning, it was an exciting ride. It took a while to find whales that day, but the skipper refused to give up, even though it meant our trip lasted an extra hour. My guest was a visitor whale watching for the first time, and she was delighted. As a local I enjoyed the thrill of the ride, the wonder of being on the ocean watching whales and dolphins, and seeing our corner of the world in all its panoramic beauty. I highly recommend this trip for locals as well as visitors.
