Take the car ferry across the river from Tewantin and you’re about 15 minutes from the spectacular wilderness of Noosa North Shore, this is where you will find long endless stretches of white sand dwarfed by majestic dunes and stunning coastline. From here you can head 40km along the sandy beach to Double Island Point headland
Named by Captain Cook because from out at sea it appears to be two separate islands. Double Island Point is where many Noosa locals come to holiday. Its historic lighthouse offers spectacular ocean views and you can regularly see dolphins, whales, turtles, sharks and sting rays swimming by
