Experience the adventure of a lifetime on an exciting 3 hour Dolphin and Seal Swim Cruise on the sheltered shallow waters of Port Phillip Bay...
Our cruises commence with a welcome tea or coffee, after which we travel out into the sheltered shallows of Port Phillip Bay to embark on an exciting once in a lifetime adventure!
We arrive at Chinaman's Hat where you can put your newfound skills into action! This is a local spot where the ever-curious Australian Fur Seals are waiting to share their underwater world with you. Chinaman’s Hat is a man-made structure built just for the Seals! Offering shallow water snorkeling and a beautiful white sand seabed, this area has a maximum depth of 4 meters.
Once the dolphins are located we get into groups of 10 people and prepare to enter the water. As you float on the surface of the water your guide will try to entice the dolphins to spend time with the group so they can swim beneath you, after which they often circle swimmers, showing off their amazing abilities. Every swim is unique and the time we spend with the dolphins varies. It must be appreciated that they are completely wild and the interactions are on the animals’ terms.
Our cruises also include a snorkel with the Sea Dragons. These prehistoric looking seahorses are Victoria’s Marine emblem and are unique to our area, being closely related to the famous leafy sea dragons.
Without a doubt, you will enjoy an experience that is truly a breathtaking adventure - and one you will never forget!

Had a great time today. Crew were great, nice and friendly. First stop was seeing the seals and swimming with them. Next was chasing for the dolphins - we didn't actually get to go into the water with them as they kept moving away from us lol. Third stop was in a small cove area where we were shown weedy seedeagons and saw a puffer fish.
We did get to see seals and dolphins and the crew do make every attempt to try and get you swimming with the dolphins so I’ll give them a tick there. But the wetsuits are in dire need of an upgrade. I was given one much too big for myself and even going back and asking if it was okay, I was told it was fine (the girl really didn’t care). The wetsuit had started pilling massively in the crotch area so there was pretty much a hole, which was not ideal in the freezing waters. There were far too many people booked on the tour. The boat was crammed and there just wasn’t enough space. This also led to a lot of waiting around for your turn to get a chance to swim with the dolphins, as they only allow ten people at a time. The coffee, tea and hot chocolate is unlimited but get in there before some kid puts four spoons full of chocolate into his drink and takes it all. There are no showers or change rooms on the boat as stated on here, you’ll be getting changed on the pier so be ready for that. With the bookme discount plus the 25% Vic Gov cash back I got this for $75pp. I definitely wouldn’t pay $185 for it which is the full price booking direct with Moonraker and would be extremely disappointed with the tour if I had. For 75 bucks, then yeah whatever not bad.
The day of the booking was canceled due to bad weather. They contacted me via email to change to a different day. The options didn't suit me, so I replied to them asking for other options. No reply. I emailed them directly, still no reply. I emailed the day I left Melbourne explaining my disappointment especially seems as though I work in the travel industry, but still to this day, yup, no reply. So, if I could give no stars, I would.
