Great trip. Saw loads of whales - super close up! Friendly crew.
In the captains words we got a roller coaster ride and whale watching in the same day as the sea was quite rough and the boat was rolling around like we were in a washing machine. I guess you have to have a sense of humour about it. We didn’t die and we saw some whales which made it all worth it. The ride back was like being on the titanic with people lying on the floor and almost everyone vomiting, there was no chatting just the odd groan and hand up for another sick bag. I would not recommend it for families with young children. The young kids were sick even before we got out to the whale watching spot so it was a long two hours for them, poor things. Even those that took the sea sick pill were sick, it would certainly pay not to have a large lunch before boarding. The staff were fabulous all credit to them for working in that environment.
I give 2 stars because the experience is good to do although very touristy. We saw lots of whales jumping, slapping their tails etc... BUT, I wouldn't give it any more than that because there is a real problem with environmental ethics. The boat is not properly maintained, which results in black smoke coming out of the exhaust, as well as black liquid pouring directly into the water. I'm disgusted to have taken part in a cruise on a boat that pollutes enormously and gives black smoke to the whales to breathe, which can irritate their respiratory tracts given the proximity we were at, and even kill the whales if they ingest the liquid. I decided to talk to the crew at the end to make sure they were aware of the problem and I know it's not their fault directly and it seems there's a conflict with the owner. The owner has a duty to maintain his boat, which he obviously doesn't want to do. It's disgusting to see a businessman running whale trips while killing them. If the owner sees this comment, know that you are disgusting for not providing your employees with a boat in good condition. I don't want your business to last with a mentality like yours. Money is good, but proper money is better. You raise enough money by putting 30 people on a boat at the same time to be able to maintain your boat. If you can't run a business properly, then you're not a businessman, you're scum.
Staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. Handing out sick bags left right and centre as the sea was pretty rough going out. Saw a few whales which was amazing. Shame that they feel the need to rip the tourists off so much though.

Awesome day on the water.
Great day on the water, the crew and captain were really informative. We saw the humpback whales not long after leaving the seawall, then 2-4 whales breaching and slapping their fins on the water. Bloody magic, just go !!
