Join an expert guide on board a modern boat as you search for humpback whales along the famous Queensland coastline.
Participants can look forward to closer and longer encounters as humpback whales do not feel intimated by the smaller vessel.
With a maximum of 8 guests on the vessel you are ensured the ultimate personalised whale watching experience!
The outer tubes of the semi inflatable vessel are only 50cm above the water surface which allows participants to submerge their water proof cameras for some great underwater shots.
Whilst no vessel is allowed to approach whales closer than 100m, our experience shows that the whales are usually approaching us whilst our engines are turned off and the vessel drifts through the water. For this very reason, our vessel is frequently chartered by research groups to conduct field surveys and sampling.
This boat trip gives you the unique opportunity to see some of Australia's most beautiful humpback whales, along with the stunning scenery of the Gold Coast's coastline.
Itinerary
- Arrive at Marina, park, use toilets and get ready
- Safety Brief, put on spray jackets
- Departure and cruise through the Broadwater
- Enter the open ocean to watch the whales
- Return to Marina

An amazing experience!!!
The whale watching tour was just amazing. Even the trip in the water was just so much fun. With only 8 people on board you always have a perfect view. Everybody was so nice. Brayden, ou skipper, always made sure to do the right thing by the whales, giving them space and turning the motor off when we got closer. He was very knowledgable too and gave us a lot of information. A perfect little adventure! Thanks a lot!!!
