The cheapest way to discover Fraser Island with a group of friends! Fraser Dingo Getaway allows you to see the best for less! If you are a group of up to 5 people, all over the ages of 23 years old wanting to hire a 4WD for Fraser Island, this is the deal for you!

Our automatic Toyota Prados will take you from one Fraser beauty to another very easily! Come along on the morning of departure for your 4WD safety briefing where you will be prepared for an awesome adventure! No previous experience required.

On a 3-day trip, you can easily travel as far as Indian Head and Champagne Pools! As discovering Fraser Island is extremely tide and weather dependent, we prepare for you a personalised itinerary so you can see the maximum in 3 days!

Hire does not include Local Charges: Ranging from $240-$270 (2-5 people). This includes:

• Barge transfers
• Fraser Island Vehicle Access Permit
• Camp Permits (optional and will be added on to local charges upon arrival approx. $7 per person per night)

Things to note:

• All participants must be 23 years of age or older (if you are younger, consider our Tagalong Tour option with the guided lead vehicle)
• You can book your own accommodation for the nights you are on Fraser Island, or you can bring your own camping equipment. Keep it light so you don’t compromise your comfort in the vehicle. Camp permits organised/charged upon arrival.
• 10:15am departure on the barge – safety briefing held at 8:15am the morning of departure – staff will liaise with you to arrange a meeting place for this.
• Latest return from Fraser Island is 5:00pm after your trip (earlier return is possible)
• Vehicle will be provided with a full tank of fuel and will need to be returned with the same
• Vehicle needs to be returned in the same condition (carwash approx. $10) – if you don’t want to go to the carwash after your trip, ask for a Dingo Clean! For $40, Fraser Dingo will take care of the cleaning for you!
• Credit card security bond of $1500 required with excess reduction of $4000 if you’re over 25 ($6000 if you’re under 25) when you hire the vehicle and released up to 48hrs after the vehicle is returned in hired condition.
• Itineraries are tide dependent.
• Hire does not include consumables such as food, water, drinks and fuel.
