Magical small group adventure with 30 or less snorkellers. Visit one of the most pristine reefs available on a day visit from the Cairns area. On return from the reef visit beautiful unspoilt Dunk Island for a beach walk, afternoon swim or cocktail onboard QuickCoast.

Highlights

  • Experience the Great Barrier Reef away from the crowds on QuickCoast's reef cruise
  • Explore the tropical paradise and untouched pristine beaches in Dunk Island
  • Experience a unique and full of fun cruise adventure!

This epic half day Reef tour begins with a coach pickup from Cairns, taking you on a scenic southbound route towards the picturesque Cassowary Coast and Mission Beach.

We then hop aboard QuickCoast, the fast, comfy catamaran with quality service, and reach Beaver Reef & Cay in less than an hour from Mission Beach or Dunk Island directly.

A trip to the Great Barrier Reef is a bucket list adventure for most of us. Snorkeling is the easiest way to check out the reef's amazing diversity, with most of it happening just four meters below the surface. You'll have the freedom to swim at your own pace, wherever and whenever you like, with all the gear provided. Our friendly marine experts lead snorkeling tours and reef talks every day.

Spend around 3.5 hours exploring Beaver Cay & Reef and stop in for an hour chilling at Dunk Island on the way back.

Once we arrive at Clump Point Marina (around 5pm) we get aboard the Myroo Coach and have you back in Cairns by approximately 7pm.

The most amazing tour in my life!!

All the staff of the guides are professional with proper marine knowledge and qualifications. Two diving expert guides and one captain are in charge of the tourists. Please do not worry, if there was anything dangerous, they would let us know with a whistle before they sensed it. While snorkeling, the captain was always watching over the safety of the tourists and counting the number of the people from the ferry. I was able to enjoy ourselves in peace and enjoy different areas of the outer reef. The coral reef world was so beautiful. It was really a safe and secure trip. We were able to rent the snorkeling equipment for free. Some people brought their own. The sea temperature was perfect for us in the early September, however, If you can't stand the cold, I recommend you to bring a wetsuit. We enjoyed a very safe and secure reef cruise and snorkeling. Before departure, we had muffins with coffee made from beans ground with a special machine on the ferry. We had a very healthy and delicious lunch and soft drinks. After snorkeling, a tropical fruit platter was served. It was really a perfect tour and all the itineraries proceeded according to the schedule listed and was carried out smoothly on time. By the time they left, the tourists had become friends with each other. I would like to thank the travel agency, Dunk Island Reef Adventures, and Bookme.com for making this trip possible. It was an unforgettable and wonderful experience in my life!!

Amazing day

Amazing day totally worthy. The reef is super healthy and diverse. We saw 2 reef sharks, 1 turtle and a whale. Staff is super nice and helpful and the snorkel is extremely safe. Service is 10/10. Food is abundant and nutritive. I would highly recommend the experience!

Life Changing Experience

One surreal experience especially once in the reef amongst the spectacular coral of all sizes, shapes and patterns. So many fish to witness with a diversity of angelfish, sweet lips, clownfish, needle fish, parrotfish, surgeonfish, butterflyfish, manta rays, angelfish, triggerfish and groupers. The list of fish was continuous and all so friendly. Everyone should do this trip in their lifetime. Life changing
