We were not aware that there are two companies that go to Fitzroy Island and we were waiting at the wrong boat departure place and missed the 8am cruise to Fitzroy Island, so therefore had to wait another 3hrs for the next at 11am. Not a good start to the day, after getting up early that morning. We weren’t the only ones this happened to on the same morning.
A very pleasant experience from check in, the trip itself and disembarkation. Friendly helpful crew.
They cancelled our transport to Fitzroy Island with only 2 hours notice because my friend and I were not fully vaccinated. We already paid a return fare of $164 between us which they refused to reimburse. They took this opportunity to steal our money. I would not recommend anyone who values morals to travel with Fitzroy Island Ferries.
Incorrect check-in instructions resulted in the boat leaving without us, meaning we had to re-book for the 11am ferry and spend 3 hours at the overpriced blue marlin bistro. Extremely disappointing experience that could have been avoided. Staff at the boat and office had no communication with each other and were very unsympathetic. Would not book with this ferry again.

Extra services with thanks
Easy trip over. Great hike raising many heart rates. Good amenities available even water refill stations. One of our party did injury themselves and were provided first aid and a wheelchair to get home in. They even let us keep the wheelchair for another day on request. That's what I call above and beyond service.
