Join us for a day trip to Cape Tribulation from Cairns, where the world’s oldest continually surviving tropical rainforests meets the Great Barrier Reef
Join us for a day trip to Cape Tribulation, where the world’s oldest continually surviving tropical rainforests meets the world’s greatest living tropical reef, the Great Barrier Reef. This is the only place on the planet where two natural World Heritage listed sites exist side by side. Such is the natural beauty and precious value of this, We give you ample time to explore this truly stunning piece of paradise on this full day tour
We begin the adventure with a scenic coastal drive from Cairns to Mossman. This is the far north’s very own version of the Great Ocean Road, providing panoramic views over the sparkling Coral Sea!
Heading north our first stop is at Mossman Gorge, which is in the southern sectorof the world famous Daintree National Park. This gorge has been carved out by the cold mountain waters of Mossman River. It's a magical place and you'll particpate in a "Welcome to Country" with the traditional owners.
Next, it’s time to explore this ancient rainforest environment on an interesting, guided tour of the Mossman Gorge. Our highly trained guides will give expert rainforest interpretation, which will inform and impress. Be amazed at the huge diversity you will encounter, everything from low lying ferns and shrubs to the massive rainforest canopy.
There is an opportunity for you to enjoy a refreshing swim in the cascading waters.
Continuing north we stop in Daintree Village for lunch. Next you will join a Wildlife Cruise on the Daintree River where you might see a crocodile, while learning about the fragile ecosystem of this impressive serpent-like river system.
You are now on the north side on the Daintree River where our guide will meet you for you next stop. We head to Thornton’s Beach – where the rainforest meets the reef. Enjoy the beautiful views of the lower ranges of Thornton Peak.
Pending time we will stop at – the Daintree Ice Cream Co – where you can enjoy deliciously exotic fruit ice cream made on site, in small artisan style batches. Yum! [At own cost.]
Then it’s back on to the bus for the return journey to Cairns, including a quick drive through Port Douglas, a picturesque beachside village with a laid-back vibe and loads of bars and cafes.

Good tour enjoy it very much
Great tour that meant we got to have a packed day visiting mossman gorge, spotting crocs on a cruise on the daintree river, walking through the rainforest to cape tribulation and stopping off at some beautiful look outs. John, our tour guide was lovely-a very well organised day which I would highly recommend !
Hi Madeleine Thank you for your feedback :-) its always nice to hear from our guests. I will pass on your comments to John whom I'm sure will be happy to hear you enjoyed the day! We hope to see you again next time your in the region.
I'm giving two stars because the tour was too rushed and I felt we didn't have enough time to enjoy and explore the places we visited. I understand this tour is packed with places to see and I guess that's why the tour guide was rushing us all the time, but perhaps the tour should be organised differently. The tour guide also changed the tour plan during the tour. Overall, places we visited were beautiful, but I wish we could stay a bit longer at each place.
First things first, our tour guide Jordan was a legend, hats off to him for having his energy for 12 hrs with what I’d consider to be a ‘difficult’ group to tour. The tour itself is good and places visited are fantastic… the downside is that you just don’t get enough time in each place. I think taking some stops out of the tour and giving more time at each stop off would be more beneficial. If you’re looking for rainforest then do the Kuranda sky rail and then walk the big loop through the creeks instead ! The company the tour is operated by and tour guide were great, but it’s not worth the money in terms of experience (but is good when you consider fuel, lunch, etc)

Cape Tribulation Tour
The Cape Tribulation Day Tour was great, very enjoyable. The only reason that I gave 4 stars and not 5 stars was that fact that the lunch was quite poor, I would have preferred, a sandwich to the hamburger that I had to order. The coach was very comfortable, important on such a long tour, and the tour guide was very informative in the sights that we passed and he was also very helpful and polite and we got on and off the coach, well done!
