Highlights

  • Scenic experience on the scenic coastal drive
  • The chance for a fresh-water swim
  • Guided rainforest boardwalk
  • Daintree Ice Cream Company – ice cream at own expense

Join us for a day trip to Cape Tribulation, where the world’s oldest continually surviving tropical rainforests meets the world’s greatest living tropical reef, the Great Barrier Reef. This is the only place on the planet where two natural World Heritage listed sites exist side by side. Such is the natural beauty and precious value of this, We give you ample time to explore this truly stunning piece of paradise on this full day tour

We begin the adventure with a scenic coastal drive from Cairns to Mossman. This is the far north’s very own version of the Great Ocean Road, providing panoramic views over the sparkling Coral Sea!

Heading north our first stop is at Mossman Gorge, which is in the southern sectorof the world famous Daintree National Park. This gorge has been carved out by the cold mountain waters of Mossman River. It's a magical place and you'll particpate in a "Welcome to Country" with the traditional owners.

Next, it’s time to explore this ancient rainforest environment on an interesting, guided tour of the Mossman Gorge. Our highly trained guides will give expert rainforest interpretation, which will inform and impress. Be amazed at the huge diversity you will encounter, everything from low lying ferns and shrubs to the massive rainforest canopy.

There is an opportunity for you to enjoy a refreshing swim in the cascading waters.

Continuing north we stop in Daintree Village for lunch. Next you will join a Wildlife Cruise on the Daintree River where you might see a crocodile, while learning about the fragile ecosystem of this impressive serpent-like river system.

You are now on the north side on the Daintree River where our guide will meet you for you next stop. We head to Thornton’s Beach – where the rainforest meets the reef. Enjoy the beautiful views of the lower ranges of Thornton Peak.

Pending time we will stop at – the Daintree Ice Cream Co – where you can enjoy deliciously exotic fruit ice cream made on site, in small artisan style batches. Yum! [At own cost.]

Then it’s back on to the bus for the return journey to Cairns, including a quick drive through Port Douglas, a picturesque beachside village with a laid-back vibe and loads of bars and cafes.

Great day - good value

The tour was great! The guide was interactive providing great information. The welcome ceremony at Mosman Gorge was one of the best I have experienced. Lunch was good and the ice cream was awesome. Great value for money and an easy way to see some interesting parts of the north.

Amazing day out

John was amazing,. He was giving us updates all the time eg roadworks delays, arrival times for different excursions. It was awesome to learn so much of the areas visited. Different plant species and what they do , Daintree village , the Daintree Rainforest etc It was a beautiful day out with a tasty lunch included

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I’m deeply disappointed with my recent Cape Tribulation and Daintree Rainforest tour. Despite four follow-ups, I received a generic response. The tour was misleading, as it didn’t include Cape Tribulation as advertised. The most troubling part was Clinton’s rude, unprofessional, and misogynistic behavior. This was never properly addressed. I’ve shared my experience on Facebook and TripAdvisor to warn others. Customers deserve better.
