Tour and Boat Detailed Information:
ZigZag is a true Full-Day Tour that meets at 8 a.m. and returns at 4 p.m. The fastest boat in the Whitsundays means more time at the islands and destinations and less time on the boat.
The Boat - ZigZag is a 39-foot Naiad boat with high-back seats for a comfortable ride! This vessel is extremely comfortable, allowing guests of all ages and adventure levels to take part.
We limit the number of guests to just 30, making sure you get the small-group experience.
Whitehaven Beach - Spend up to 2 hours at Whitehaven Beach, including the New South Whitehaven Lookout, which opened in July 2019. While at Whitehaven Beach, you can walk to the brand-new Lookout that overlooks Whitehaven Beach and has 120-degree views of the Whitsunday Islands. This new Lookout is breathtaking and has to be seen to be believed. The walk is 1km each way and requires a medium fitness level. If you wish not to partake in the lookout walk, you can stay on the beach and explore or sunbake.
After the walk, a buffet lunch will be served on the beach.
Snorkelling - If you like snorkelling and want to see the beautiful coral of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, this tour is for you. Our qualified crew choose the best locations that suit the conditions. This location can include Chalkies Bay, Blue Pearl Bay, Luncheon Bay, Border Island, and a secret bay where we can keep quiet (you will see why). These tropical waters are filled with tropical fish and turtles year-round! The islands shelter these reef areas and have an extensive, diverse range of stunning colours and abundant sea life.
Chalkies Beach and Haslewood Island Lookout -with the same sand as Whitehaven Beach and a lookout over coral reefs, this is a popular stop away from any crowds

Oak, Lexi and Casey were a great team! Thanks guys
Thank you for your kind words! We’re glad to hear Oak, Lexi, and Casey made your experience great. We’ll be sure to pass along your thanks! Take care and safe travels from ZigZag Whitsundays.
This tour does NOT go to the Hill Inlet lookout. It doesn’t say that it goes there in the description, so obviously not their fault. But if you are not familiar with the area and don’t know that Whitehaven Beach is 8 km long. Like us, you might end up booking another tour the day after to see the famous lookout of the whitsundays. The tour itself was great, honestly. It’s just a shame that it doesn’t go to Hill Inlet.
Thank you for your feedback! We're glad to hear you enjoyed the tour overall. Booking our tour and feeling disappointed about not visiting Hill Inlet is a bit like ordering a margherita pizza and being disappointed it doesn't have pepperoni-it's simply not on the menu-. We're upfront in our tour descriptions about where we go, and while Hill Inlet is beautiful, our focus is on exploring the actual Whitehaven Beach (not Bettys beach at Hill Inlet ) and snorkelling in stunning reef locations. We hope you made some unforgettable memories and are happy you got to experience more of the Whitsundays during your visit!
The boat left us on the beach and had to return even though we were sitting in front of where they were anchored. The comment when we were boarding was “did you fall asleep “. I thought lucky we weren’t still in the ocean. Why wasn’t there a head count. I am 60 and no-one helped with lugging wetsuits and snorkelling gear up the ramp just asked can you rinse it out before you come on board. A very ordinary lunch….this tour should be advertised as a budget experience. Upside beautiful barrier reef snorkelling

Whitehaven beach
Did same tour 5 years ago. Was disappointed this time. Only one snorkeling stop, not 2. Last time we also did a deep water experience, seeing more large fish. This time was only snorkeling off the beach. Staff were friendly but very regimented. We also stopped at a second island resort last time, which we didn’t do this time. There was more free time spent at Whitehaven beach where we just sat or walked along the beach. Still enjoyed the day , but less value for money.
