Wineglass Bay Discovery Tours invite you along on a full day of adventure and sightseeing amongst some of Tasmania's top locations.

This small-group tour provides the best experience as this allows for a more personalised, flexible itinerary, allowing you more time to enjoy each location and feel like a relaxed road trip with friends.

Your guide Alex will help to enrich your tour experience by sharing his extensive local knowledge, great humour and exceptional customer service.

Departing Hobart, our first stop is at Rosny Hill lookout to take in the expansive views over Hobart, the Derwent River and Mt. Wellington.

Take in the quaint sights of the historic Georgian town of Richmond then stop at St. John the Baptist Church in the rural town of Buckland before heading to the east coast, arriving at Raspins Beach in Orford.

We will stop off in Swansea for a quick coffee and the chance for you to purchase a picnic lunch to take away.

Next on the agenda is the magical Freycinet National Park where you will enjoy a light 40-minute hike to the stunning Wineglass Bay lookout, spend some time here relaxing and taking in the magnificent views.

During our time in the Freycinet National Park, we will stop for a picnic lunch and visit a range of locations, each more beautiful than the last.

Cape Tourville offers cliff views over the Tasman Sea, Sleepy Bay boasts unique rock formations that make the steep 10-minute walk worthwhile and Honeymoon Bay is a great spot for a quick dip in the Pacific Ocean if you wish!

Making our way back to Hobart through the scenic landscape we stop at Kate’s Berry Farm to sample locally made ice cream, chocolates and jams.

Our last stop before dropping you back at your accommodation is above Spiky Beach where you will see the Freycinet peninsula and have the opportunity to snap some photos.

Bad Weather Refunds

  • If your experience is cancelled by the operator (because of the weather or anything else out of your control) you will be entitled to a full refund.

Notes

  • The trail to Wineglass Bay Lookout is well-maintained, a reasonable level of fitness is necessary for both your own enjoyment and safety as well as the safety of others. There are some steps, but these can be managed at your own pace. The walk takes 30-45 minutes each way. All other walks are either flat or short with the exception of Sleepy Bay, a steep 10-minute walk.

  • Customer Cancellation:

    If cancelled at least 7 days prior to the departure date, you will receive a 100% refund.

    If cancelled between 4 and 6 days prior to the departure date, you will receive a 75% refund.

    If cancelled within 3 days prior to the departure date, you will not receive a refund.
