Your trip begins with a transfer from your accommodation to Cairns Station where you will embark on a historic journey learning about the construction of the engineering marvel that is the Kuranda Scenic Railway. Enjoy beautiful views as you take a scenic journey through the Rainforest travelling over 37 bridges and through 15 tunnels.
Once in Kuranda, you will have 2.5 hours to use as you please - take a cruise on the Barron River, discover the local arts and crafts scene, or dine at one of many sumptuous restaurants.
Later, make your way to the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and embark on a magical journey learning about the amazing Would Heritage listed rainforest.
Along the way, you'll see the magnificent Barron George and Falls and visit the Rainforest Interpretive Centre and a beautiful rainforest boardwalk before being transferred back to your accommodation.
Itinerary
- Bus pick up from meetings points around Cairns, taking you to the train station.
- Take the Kuranda Scenic Railway from Cairns to Kuranda - 1.5 hours
- Explore Kuranda Village - 2.5 hours
- Take the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway form Kuranda down to the terminal at Smithfield.
- Bus meets you at the terminal and takes you back to one of the original meeting points in Cairns.

Amazing Tour
I'm writing this review on behalf of my parents. They had an amazing time and my parents were very happy with the tour guide. They said that the gentleman was friendly and very helpful. Both my parents are disabled and this tour is perfect for them, it required less walking and they can take their time. They recommended this tour to their friends.

Super nice !
Michael was on time and told us what to expect for the scenic railway. He did some recommandation where to get food during our time in the village of Kuranda. He also text us what to expect in details during the skyrail which was super nice to know! Also, when he pick us up at the end, he showed us a little of the city. He was east to reach via email, phone or text. His answer were quick. I think it was nice to have someone picking us up at the accompagnons-nous and bringing us back ‘cause it would have been hard to manage bus schedule time and all. Really enjoy my experience with Michael!

firstly Michael was fantastic and very knowledgeable about the area. The whole experience from the time we were picked up, the train and the sky rail was the most amazing thing I have experienced. It is highly recommended and not to be missed.
