We enjoyed spending time on the Fraser Island beach & BBQ cruise. The staff (Captain and crew) was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend Whalesong Cruises to anyone that want to explore Fraser Island, whether that be a half day cruise as we did or a full day cruise that we will definitely do in the not too distant future. The food (fruit platter just after departure and BBQ for lunch) was out of the books. The activities (kayaking, tube ride behind a boat and swimming) after arrival at Fraser Island was very popular amongst young and old and thoroughly enjoyed.
I'm not a fan of touristy things, but I've always wanted to see Fraser. This trip was ideal for that purpose, being 5 hours. A little bumpy on the transit, but just the right amount of time, to walk on the beach, go for a swim, and a canoe if you feel like it. The staff were very good, and the lunch provided was good enough. I don't eat red meat, so the prawns + 2 salads was suitable enough. I did get a little burnt, so LOTS of sunscreen and cover up if you are sitting on the beach in the midday sun. I would recommend.
Great service and experience... we loved it..
Remember to take your bag over to the beach with you! Would be nice if sunscreen was available on the boat without having to track down the staff.

Highly recommend
Half day tour was awesome. The staff and crew were great. Morning tea was a great selection of cakes and fruit along with coffee or tea. Along with always available filtered water. The cruise out was good. We moored alongside the beach so those who wished could swim ashore. A great couple of hours on the beach on the western shore (lay side) of K’Gari (Fraser Island). Swimming or kayaking, walk the beach, they have a speed boat taking anyone for a ride on the sea biscuit. Then back on board for the bbq lunch. Steak, sausage and prawn(s) with salads & bread rolls. Before setting sail back to the jetty and you can feed the fishes as you disembark. Brilliant.
