Adventure with Tropic Wings to the Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation to discover the most iconic destinations in Tropical North Queensland.
Join Tropic Wings for a full-day adventure exploring Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation. On this premium eco-accredited tour, your day will be packed with unforgettable experiences, local knowledge, and picture-perfect sights, all while offsetting your carbon footprints.
Starting our trip with one of the most iconic road trips in Australia, the Great Barrier Reef Drive, we’ll make our way up to Port Douglas for our first stop at the award-winning Wildlife Habitat.
Feel what it’s like to be a Wildlife Keeper as one of our knowledgeable Wildlife Keepers will provide a guided experience getting to know the local wildlife and have a rare opportunity to hand feed animals such as the elusive Cassowary which is notoriously hard to spot in the wild! This one-of-a-kind experience is only available on your tour. The opportunity to have a photo experience with one of our koalas is also available at an extra cost.
Head north to the World Heritage Daintree Rainforest across the Daintree River on the cable ferry to enjoy a refreshing swim in the crystal waters of Mason’s freshwater swimming hole. After a refreshing dip, enjoy a revitalizing locally sourced lunch at Masons Café run by third-generation Lawerence Mason whose familysettled in Cape Tribulation in 1932.
Explore the world's oldest rainforest on a boardwalk tour and learn about the magnificent plants and creatures that call the Daintree Rainforest home. Visit Cape Tribulation Beach to view the world's unique meeting of two World Heritage sites: the Wet Tropics Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef.
To round off the day, we'll visit the award-winning Daintree Ice Cream Company for a unique tasting experience before heading to Alexandra Lookout for stunning views of the Daintree Rainforest and the Coral Sea. Then, on a Daintree River trip, look for wildlife such as wild Estuarine Crocodiles and birds in the mangrove habitat.
Don’t wait to make some unforgettable memories!
We collaborate with the best local operators to provide you with an unforgettable experience. Tropic Wings is an eco-accredited company, which means we value sustainability and strive hard to cut carbon emissions and aid the environment. We will plant enough trees in a local reforestation project through Reforest to offset all of the carbon emissions from your tour. The project we've chosen involves restoring agricultural land on the Atherton Tableland by planting a mix of rainforest and native conifer species.

Great service. Great guide. Comfortable bus. Beautiful sites.
Hi Edward, thank you for your review. We are so happy to see that you had an amazing experience with Tropic Wings. We hope to see you again for another journey soon.
Most amazing scenery! Dan the tour guide very informative and friendly! Bus comfy food delicious and the ice cream yummy!
We had a great day. There were a few challenges such as older participants slowing down the group, and people that were late to the bus, but Geoff kept his good humour and tailored the day to make it enjoyable for everyone. He gave us a very informative tour of this beautiful area and we were even lucky enough to spot a cassowary in the wild. I think he did very well as the majority of the time is spent on the bus and we were able to listen to a lot of history and facts about the area. He is obviously very passionate about the area and loves his job. The wildlife park was great, I was initially a bit non excited about another wildlife park, but this one was nice and compact and even as Australian seniors with a lot of zoo visits in our past we did enjoy this one. The lunch was the best I have ever had on a daytrip anywhere. The Daintree river cruise was interesting and we did see a couple of crocs. The scenery was really beautiful and we enjoyed just sitting back and not having to drive. Good value and fun day

A Great Experience
Geoff the driver gave interesting informative commentary done in a pleasant personable way. Varied experiences: a first rate animal and reptile park, a river cruise on the Daintree and saw a female croc and her nest. A delicious lunch followed when at the rainforest. The forest was fascinating rounded off with delicious icecreams on the way back to the hotel.
