Great way to explore Auckland. Thank you Bookme for the amazing deal.
A great way to see the sights. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent commentary along the way with some personal touches.
Very dissapointed with this service provider. We started journey at Civic Centre, Auckland and went one stop, got off at a 'temporary' stop (due to road works preventing access to normal stop closer to the Ferry Jetty). Went on ferry to Deavonport (magnificent tour had) and then returned to the stop be were dropped off at (as instructed by the driver who dropped us off). Waited from 3.50 until 4.25pm (with others) for a bus to come along. The female driver was ubrupt, told each waiting passenger a different story..eg Her last stop and going back to bus terminus - no time to talk; said another bus was coming; then said another bus wasn't coming; then told us we were at the wrong bus stop and should have been elsewhere for pickup. Shut the doors on us - then we alerted her to the fact that she still had passenges sitting up the top of her bus...she got out of her seat and asked them to leave and shut doors while they were trying to ask why they weren't able to be taken to their stop, etc...she wasn't interested in helping - left a young mother and her child stranded and we tried to help them the best we could. The poor lady asked if we could help her find a taxi, etc. Such poor form from the bus driver and company. We paid for a full 24 hour service for one (1) bus stop ride, with no service from 3.50. I will send email to the company when I get home, to give them a chance to refund at least one of our tickets...prior to posting this review on TripAdvisor!!! I have taken photos of the bus stop with the signage for the bus - which the driver denied was a bus stop.
I bought a ticket for January 14. That was a mistake. Apparently there were several tour ships in town at the same time and the company just kept selling tickets which they did not have capacity for. Somehow, I managed to get on a bus, but at every stop there were dozens and dozens and dozens of people waiting to get on the bus. It was raining. No one wanted to get OFF the bus, knowing that they would not be able to get back ON the bus. I ended up staying on the bus for the entire tour and not debarking at any of the stops where I had hoped to. It also took much longer than the loops normally do because at each stop the driver would have to apologize to those waiting, try to squeeze a few more on, and so on. It was a complete waste of my time and money. Another day, likely a great option to see the city. The competition hop on hop off- kiwi something (and with open top buses, too)- obviously did not oversell themselves and their buses always had capacity when they pulled up.
