This walk is a once in a lifetime experience that will literally leave you feeling on top of the world!
This was such a great way to see as much of the QCT in a day as possible. The taxi out to Torea Bay was friendly and direct, and the walk took me about 6 hours to complete the walk, and at the other end was greeted by a bar and friendly staff. Definitely recommend if you’re up for a long day walking with incredible views of the Marlborough Sounds.
I enjoyed the walk so much. I walked by myself and I didn’t meet a lot of other people. You can enjoy the time by yourself and the amazing quiet time. Sometimes the sign are not so clear where do you have to go next but with a good orientation it’s okay.
Boat ride was great, hike was great too!
Hi Ada , We are glad you enjoyed the top of the world walk. Kind Regards, Hayley
It was a beautiful 8h walk. We just made it in time. We had about 3 stops, also went up to the eatwell lookout which was the highlight of the track. We only met people who went the other way. In our opinion walking from torea bay to punga cove is much better. We are just 2 girls with an average fitness level - so it is possible to make it in time - but don’t take too many breaks.
Thank you for your taking the time to write us a review ! We are glad to hear you enjoy the Torea to Punga walk. Kind Regards, Reservations

Torea Bay to Punga Cove
Excellent one day hiking trip. Bring your sunscreen and walking legs because it can be a long, hot journey 😊
