Dolphin Viewing in the very calm waters of New Zealand's famous Marlborough Sounds.
Experience dolphins in their natural environment on an incredible cruise in the famous Marlborough Sounds!
Our Dolphin Eco-tours provide an excellent opportunity to view dolphins in calm and sheltered waters.
You can expect to encounter dusky and bottlenose dolphins, and we may also have a chance to encounter the very rare Hector's dolphins at times.
We also visit New Zealand fur seals and spot a variety of seabirds like blue Penguins, Gannets and Shags on the water.
Our knowledgeable skipper and guide will provide you with an informed and interesting commentary on the wildlife encountered along with local history of the Marlborough Sounds.
There is plenty of time allowed for photography, an all important part of many people's experiences here in the stunning Marlborough Sounds.
Trip Duration: 2-4 hours depending on the location of the Dolphins. (Subject to min numbers).

Nice and sunny weather today. Thanks for the professional E-ko team steer us to the Dolpins. We saw numbers of Dolpins swim around the cruise, seems like curious about us and wanna interact with. Also, special thanks for the swimmers group who sing really well and attract some Dolphins approaching towards us. Finally, we end up with a warm choco/coffee prepared by the crew, it's perfect.
It was awesome and worth every penny. Would like to do more activities with E-Ko tours when I get to visit New Zealand again
Staff were very knowledgeable about the wildlife and the landscape/waters we were in and could answer our questions informatively. We saw Hector's dolphins, NZ fur seals and lots of birds. The boat was comfortable and the hot chocolate and biscuits were nice to have. The boat left Picton at 9am and we arrived back at 12.30pm so not the 4 hours that was advertised on this website.
We had the most amazing morning with Tristen and Alie. we saw over a hundred bottle nose dolphins, as well as some dusky. They were even able to find us blue penguins & king shag. We learned so much about the wild life and habitat of Marlborough Sound. Highly recommend this excursion! Sue

A good morning out
Had fun, saw dolphins, but this time not any species we were allowed to swim with. Did get a partial refund though. Still really interesting and lovely views
